Buenos dias!
Estoy aqui en mi casita nueva! Oh it's so nice to have found a place. And what a place.
Johnny and I had been looking everywhere and could find nothing in our price or location. We didn't want to alter our requirements too much because we moved here for a reason - to be neat the city center, parks, events! We did start looking for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom, even though we wanted more room for people to stay when they visited. But still, nothing!
Finally, I saw someone on one of the Facebook groups we were on replying to other posts about properties. The places they were posting about were way out of our range, but I figured they seemed helpful so I sent a message. Immediately, the nice fellow who was posting sent me this glorious house in our price and way more than what we were looking for, and CLOSER than we were looking! I highly recommend the good people at Yucatan Transitional Services, the representative I worked with was fluent in Spanish and English and it seems they offer expats all kinds of helpful services from visa assistance to real estate.
So an hour later we went to see it and HOLY COW we were sold.
Anyway, we moved in yesterday and it is WONDERFUL and definitely a little haunted but so far nothing too supernatural!

And in the middle of all of this....
A big patio!
Oh my gosh it is so beautiful. I walk to one end and Johnny says something and I walk back down the hall and say "did you say something"? BECAUSE ITS SO BIG!
We also went to the city center a few days ago and sat inside the second oldest church in the Americas located right there in the center, the Cathedral de San Ildefonso. It was a Sunday so there was a service and it was lovely to sit and listen and feel how much this place just weighed, you know?
Oh I had a job interview! It was very far away, about 30 minutes. It was on a golf course in a very wealthy seeming area. The school is a private one, and I interviewed with several people - HR, coordinators, the acting head of the school (principal?). Everything went very well and I felt like they were very nice, but it is for 2nd grade and I would teach math, science, and English. Soo.....
Anyway then my laptop broke and I cried but then Johnny fixed it and now I am posting and next I will work on freelance editing and I hope you are all having a lovely day!
